Roberto Gomez Valdez
Principal, Director of Design Studio
Roberto Gomez Valdez and clients of the Wakefield Beasley Design Studio share the same aspirations: to create outstanding places that will build communities and inspire others. With versatility and innovation, Roberto infuses that passion for creation into everything he designs at the firm.
Clients come to Robert with a vague idea of what they need, and he helps them to articulate it. Like a blurry, out-of-focus picture, these ideas come to life in the form of Roberto’s creative design solutions. He finds passion in architecture, in that ability to take a nebulous idea and make it tangible. And when the design is complete, and the development is constructed and ready for move-in, Roberto knows he has been successful if the facility meets the original design, is on-time and within budget.
Roberto is passionate in everything he does. To him, understanding what a client wants and translating it into a real-world, applicable design is what makes him excited to go to work every day. This passion for design has led him to create such unique developments as the Avalon mixed-use retail and multi-family housing community in Alpharetta, Georgia; the mixed-use retail environment at The Battery Atlanta adjacent to the Atlanta Braves stadium; the Chapel at Perimeter Church in Johns Creek; The Forum on Peachtree Parkway in Norcross; and the Sahl Hasheesh tourist resort on the Red Sea in Egypt.
As the Director of Wakefield Beasley’s Design Studio, Roberto has assembled a team of like-minded design professionals. Together, they combine their perspectives and experiences to consistently create amazing results for clients across the world.
