Often thought of as applying to a college or university, a campus can also apply to an office setting in which buildings and parking are set among generous common open space areas that are all interconnected with pedestrian paths. Whether we are working on a university or a corporate campus, we centralize the parking as much as possible while using the heart of campus for buildings and open space. The buildings are sited to define the open space areas, which often combine formal greens and plazas, with trails and wooded areas. The way that people learn and interact with each other has evolved to a more collaborative atmosphere, thus the modern campus needs to respond to be successful.
